We were tired of paying too much for flea medicines, but needed them for our dogs. We knew there had to be a way to save on this expense. Have you ever noticed liquid flea medicine prices are the same whether you buy a box for a x-small animal or XL dogs? Most of the prices are the same, but the fluid ounces differ.
About 4 years ago I bought a “kit” on ebay that said it would save me money. Inside the box was a plastic bottle with a lid,eye dropper/syringe and 1 XL tube of Frontline (approx 4 ML). You take the tube & pour it into the small plastic bottle with lid and the eye dropper/syringe has measurements 0.02 to 1.0 ml. With the kit, you will get a formula to use based on the weight of your pet. The amount of medicine administered will vary due to your animals weight.
One of our dogs is small and only weighs 11 lbs. I buy the XL box with 3 tubes of medicine in it. One XL tube gives me 6 months of coverage. If you do the math, 3 tubes x 6 months= 18 months of medicine for the price of 6! One box will last a year an half for our small dog!
Another great saving is instead of buying Frontline (which I have used for 3 yrs) I now buy PetArmor brand medicine. It has all of the the same ingredients as the Frontline but it costs less and works as well as other brands.
