Making cookies and treats during the Christmas baking seasons is something I look forward to each year. I try not to have extra treats around the house, but hey it’s Christmas, you have to have food for friends and family. I am always on the lookout for new and fun recipes to try out. This year I decided to try making “ornament” Rice Crispy Treats for Christmas.
We have a yearly family gathering at my Aunt’s house. I have a valued reputation of being the one to always bring something new and unique. I am pretty sure making rice crispy treats for Christmas will keep my reputation intact. I can’t wait to bring them to the Christmas day celebration.
Making rice crispy treats is always fun. It’s really simple to make the rice crispy treats for Christmas parties. You follow the standard rice crispy treat recipe, add food coloring, form into balls and top with a rolo candy. We chose to make our “ornaments’ green, but you could use red or any color you choose.
You definitely won’t find these “ornaments” hanging on our tree. They will be proudly displayed on the Christmas dessert table.
