My Baby Boy is All Grown Up

After having a brief conversation with my youngest son last night, it suddenly hit me; My Baby Boy is All Grown UP. My teenage son is no longer a boy, he’s a young man. He’s 19, in a few short months, he will turn 20. No more Mommy’s little boy.  Where does time go? Beware Moms, your boys will be young men in a blink of an eye. 

Since my baby boy is all grown up, it’s time  for Mom to start treating him like a man. As a mom, one of the hardest things I’ve had to do, is let go of my hold on my kid’s. I want to be the fixer of all their problems and make sure they are safe. It’s hard to let them grow up and spread their wings, but you have to have faith that you raised great kids and they will succeed. They may not be perfect, they will have their struggles, but they can always come home to Mom (and Dad) for a pick me up or advice.  

Why is it easier for Dad to embrace their boys manhood? My husband sees the boys almost as his equal, a buddy or friend to spend time with, Mom still needs to take care of them. I am trying really hard to just let them go! (not too far). In the video Dad runs over the boys toys, because he doesn’t need them anymore.
