Did you know that areas in this country exist where you cannot get pizza delivered to your door? Ha! Well now you know! Believe it or not, in our rural PA town, food delivery and cable TV are non-existent! Thank goodness for DiGiorno Pizza and satellite TV or I don’t think my family would survive! Check out my tips for Sunday football survival.
Designate at least one day a week, as Mom’s day off! (aka – Football Sunday)
Sunday is family day in our house. With everyone’s harried schedules and the sheer chaos that happens daily (yes parents, even with adult and teen children there’s still chaos) Sunday is the day to regroup, spend time together and EAT! Since, we all have to eat and Mom really looks forward to a bit of rest on her day off DiGiorno Pizza on rollback at Walmart is the perfect solution to satisfy everyone’s tastes.
Shop at Walmart for Digornio Pizza and cupcakes!
Head over to your local Walmart and check out the DiGiorno Pizza selection. It will be $4.50 well spent. Our gang tried 3 Meat, Cheese, Spicy Chicken Supreme and Pepperoni. Pizza and cupcakes were our afternoon fare and the clean up was super easy, too. Win Win for all of us! The cupcakes I picked up were decorated with football helmets, they were cute and yummy too. I almost made my own cupcakes, but I could pick up a whole dozen of cupcakes for $6 and I figured since it was my day off, my time was worth way more than $6 and I splurged. Enjoying a night of good food and football with family is a great way to end the week.
Eat in Front of the TV!
Shh…don’t tell anyone, we even eat in front of the TV during game time. This past Sunday was the final weekend of football playoffs, before the big game in February. Having a family full of sports enthusiasts meant we spent a lot of time in the living room watching the action unfold on TV. Since, food delivery is non-existent in our area, I did have to break down and “cook” on my day off. Turning on the oven was so easy!! It took less than 3o minutes for our DiGiornoPizza to be ready and everyone was anxious to dig in.
I had a hard time deciding which pizza I wanted to try first. Again, don’t tell, but I did have a small piece of all 3 kinds. I did skip the cupcake which saved room for that 3rd piece!
Stock the freezer!
I have to admit, I can’t remember the last time we had pizza from the freezer aisle at Walmart that was this good! The sauce was amazing, there were plenty of toppings and the crust was delicious. I am hooked and so is the rest of the gang. The freezer will be full of DiGiorno pizza before the big game party! Stock up now!
What’s your favorite kind of pizza??
