Fruity Frozen Greek Yogurt Pops
We have two blueberry bushes and they have been very good to us this year. They taste great, juicy, plump and sweet. Yum! Since we have an abundance of blueberries, we have to find some frozen treats to make. We love frozen pops and this recipe will not disappoint.
These Frozen Greek Yogurt Pops are a perfect, healthy summer treat and full of flavor! There is no added sugar so they are much healthier than popsicles made from high sugar drink mixes or other ingredients. They are simple to make and are pretty too!
Ingredients & Supplies:
- plastic pop makers/molds
- wooden pop sticks
- Greek Yogurt in 3 flavors – blueberry, pineapple (0r vanilla), and strawberry
- fresh blueberries
- fresh strawberries
You will first want to make sure that you stir the Greek yogurt well to mix the fruit into the yogurt. This distributes the flavor as well as changes the color of the yogurt itself.
Begin by dropping 3-5 fresh blueberries into the tip of each pop maker. The larger the mold, the more berries you’ll want to put in.
Add the blueberry Greek Yogurt on top of the fresh blueberries, filling the popsicle maker approximately 1/3 of the way. Gently tap the container to get the yogurt to settle in around the berries.
Add the pineapple Greek Yogurt on top of the blueberry, adding enough to fill the molds 2/3 to the top.
Wash and slice the strawberries into 1/8” thick slices. Place the fresh strawberry slices on top of the pineapple Greek Yogurt. Add the strawberry Greek Yogurt to the pop maker, filling to just below the top of the mold.
Carefully insert a wooden popsicle stick into each mold. Place popsicles into the freezer and allow them to chill for 3-4 hours or until firm or ready to serve.
These Frozen Greek Yogurt Pops are colorful, flavorful, but guilt free! You won’t hesitate to indulge in one or to let the little ones enjoy them on a hot summer afternoon! You can try these with a variety of yogurt flavors and fresh fruit combinations.
